GOOGLE CONSOLIDA PRESENCIA EN REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA

Google ha elegido a República Dominicana para establecer su octavo hub digital en el área de Caribe, Centro y Sudamérica, con una inversión de 500 millones de dólares. Este proyecto se enfocará en tecnologías como la Inteligencia Artificial, prometiendo generar empleos y fortalecer la conexión digital en la región.

La nueva infraestructura digital incluirá un puerto internacional y un anillo de cables submarinos que mejorará la velocidad y seguridad en la transmisión de datos. El presidente Luis Abinader ha declarado este proyecto de alta prioridad nacional, iniciando las obras en marzo.

Google has chosen the Dominican Republic as the site for its eighth digital hub in the Caribbean and Latin America, with an initial investment of $500 million. The hub will focus on emerging technologies like AI, expected to create specialized jobs and boost local businesses.

The hub’s infrastructure will feature a digital exchange port and a submarine cable ring connecting with Google Cloud regions in the U.S. This aims to enhance data transfer speed and security, with construction starting in March.
